CREATIONIST: "There is literally no geological system or structure or formation that requires for its explanation long, slow processes extending over thousands or millions of years. Dr. Derek Agers said in the closing sentence of his famous book Nature of the Stratigraphic Record:
‘The history of any one part of the earth, like the life of a soldier, consists of long periods of boredom and short periods of terror. ‘ (Ager, Derek, 1993, Nature of the Stratigraphic Record, John Wiley & Sons, p 141)
That is, everything we can actually see in the geological records indicates formation by very rapid processes" - Henry and John Morris, 1997
FACT: The above is a blatant lie by distortion. Ager clearly says “The history of any one part of the earth…. consists of long periods of boredom…” It does not follow that, as Morris states, “everything we see in the geological records indicates….very rapid processes.” What does Ager mean "long periods of boredom?" Morris’ follow-up comment about Ager’s statement is a non sequitur and a contradiction. How lucky we are to have Morris around to show us how to contort and distort statements all out of recognition.
